Strategic Technical Due Diligence and Quality Control for a Spanish IPP procuring a new WTG Platform

We performed a comprehensive technical due diligence of a new wind turbine OEM platform, focused on validating the design, manufacturing quality and contractual framework prior to procurement and long-term operation.

Our role included a deep technical review of the wind turbine design, covering the overall design architecture and critical component-level aspects. Close interaction with the OEM engineering teams allowed for a detailed assessment of design assumptions, manufacturing processes and operational implications, leading to specific technical recommendations to address identified risks. These findings were incorporated into the technical due diligence conclusions and supported the alignment of the parties ahead of contractual commitments.

In parallel, we supported the organization and execution of blade and nacelle factory quality control inspections, including continuous interaction with manufacturing and client teams during production. Detailed inspections and reporting allowed for the identification of non-conformities and the definition of corrective actions prior to component delivery.
