Dr. Jose Ignacio Llorente is an expert in mechanical engineering with a PhD from the University of the Basque Country. He is a registered professional engineer in Spain and specializes in computational and experimental mechanics, manufacturing processes, and wind energy systems. He has extensive experience in academia and industry, serving as an Associate Professor since 1986 and holding various leadership roles at Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (CTO of Gamesa Eólica 1999-2007, CBO of Gamesa Wind US LLC 1998-2010 and Corporate Product integrity Director for the global Gamesa Fleet 2011-2018). Jose Ignacio has written many scientific papers and articles, authored many patents, and is a member of ASME and ASM.

Pedro J. López is a seasoned professional in the wind industry with over 30 years of experience. He holds a master’s in physics from the University of Valencia. He is a renewable energy consultant and has collaborated with companies like Xabet and Repsol Renovables. From 2000 to 2017, he was Managing Director of Operations and Maintenance at Gamesa, where he built a global service organization, managing 20,000 MW of wind turbines and a budget of over 400 MM€. Pedro has developed numerous industry best practices, maintained a 98% turbine availability for a large global fleet while achieving an 18% EBIT. His expertise includes safety, reliability, and innovation in wind energy operations. 

Thomas Connell holds a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from Canterbury University, New Zealand (1997) and an MBA from INSEAD, France (2004). His career began at Schlumberger as a Field Service Engineer and Project Manager across Latin America. He then joined Gamesa, managing construction projects in multiple countries and progressing to Operations Manager and Service Director roles, overseeing service centers across Europe, Africa, South America, and Asia. He later served as EMEA Field Operations Director. From 2020 to 2022, he worked for New Zealand’s Ministry of Education. Since October 2022, Tom has been the Business Development Director for the European markets and senior consultant at Carr Renewables. 

Roberto Sabalza is a strategic executive with over 20 years of leadership experience steering large-scale organizations through growth and transformation. He has held top-tier roles, including CEO of the Energy & Service Division at Enhol Group and CEO for Southern Europe and Africa at Siemens Gamesa, where he managed an annual P&L exceeding €1,000M. Roberto also served as CFO at Siemens Gamesa for nine years across Onshore and Service units, overseeing global financial strategy and international governance.

He brings a global vision to the wind, solar, BESS, and H2&P2X sectors. His expertise spans the entire value chain, from origination, promotion, and structuring strategic partnerships (SHAs) to financing and PPAs, extending through EPC management, Asset Management, and B2C energy sale. Currently, as a Managing Partner at Coessio, he provides end-to-end business insight to solve your challenges and drive growth.

Ana I. Castrillo holds a MBA from the University of Basque Country. With extensive experience in accounting and finance, she has worked across various sectors, specializing in financial services for SMEs. Her career began at General Motors Spain, followed by an accounting role at a logistics company. She has managed finances for multiple SMEs, including starting her own logistics and road freight transport business. Her tenure at an audit group enhanced her expertise in accounting, taxation, and finance. For the past decade, she has single-handedly managed finances for an interior design company, developing strong problem-solving skills. 

Jesús Busturia holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Navarra. He began his career at CEIT IK4, an R&D institute, where he participated in numerous European, national, and regional research projects, leading a group specialized in Experimental Dynamics. Since 2001, he has been active in the renewable energy sector—primarily wind—serving as Business Development Manager at GAMESA, General Manager of Operations at CENER (the Spanish National Renewable Energy Research Centre), and General Manager of MTOI Wind Turbines, a Spanish direct drive WTG manufacturer. In 2015, he joined NAUTILUS Floating Solutions as Managing Director, contributing to the development of a floating foundation concept for the offshore wind industry. He currently works as a senior advisor in renewable energies, supporting various industrial companies in strengthening their capabilities across the renewable energy value chain.

Nabil is a Founding Partner of STM Service with over 23 years’ experience in the wind sector in Morocco and North Africa. Starting his career in Morocco’s first wind farm on the client side, he has held leadership roles in Gamesa Eolíca and Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy since 2006 until 2025 specializing in managing the O&M team and 650MW of operating assets.
At SGRE he was responsible for all aspects of the O&M ranging from leading and managing the internal and subcontracted teams, HSQE to the P&L to ensure client satisfaction and meeting business KPIs.
In 2025 Nabil and Tarik Moudni founded STM Service to provide O&M Services to renewable asset owners in Morocco and North Africa. STM Service combines and builds on Nabil’s extensive wind experience and STM’s established maintenance services across the region.

Tarik is a Founding Partner of STM Service and Owner of STM (Societe Tangeroise de Maintenance). STM was founded in 1998 a provides a range of IT solutions and maintenance services in Morocco and North Africa to a range of commercial and industrial clients.

Olatz Llorente Martija is a mechanical engineer with a strong academic background, holding three master’s degrees in industrial, aerospace, and mechanical engineering. She is currently pursuing a PhD, focusing on bearing failure cases and causes. Olatz has extensive experience in technical report writing and dynamic systems analysis. She has worked at Carr Renewables as a mechanical and project engineer, managing wind farm projects and composing technical reports using root cause analysis (RCA). Previously, she worked at IDOM Consulting, Engineering and Architecture, where she developed alignment and handling plans for the ELT’s prefocal stations and conducted Laser Tracker inspections and programming. At ABB – Asea Brown Boveri, she configured technical proposals for electric motors and performed quality and manufacturing inspections. Olatz has also published several research articles in scientific journals.
